About PASC

Independent selection, Academy compliance.

The Pakistan Academy Selection Committee is responsible for selecting Pakistan’s official submission to the Academy’s International Feature Film Award.

PASC operates independently of government, political, commercial, or institutional interference. Its selection process is guided by artistic judgment, integrity, confidentiality, fairness, and compliance with Academy rules.

PASC affirms the importance of artistic freedom and the right of filmmakers to engage with challenging and complex subject matter, and rejects censorship or ideological pressure in the selection process.

Per Academy guidelines, the names of selection committee members are not published prior to Academy approval.
